Surg., 72, 591-97, 1983.Illouz improved on the Fischers’ technique with the invention of a cannula with a blunt tip. This new type of cannula reduced blood loss and nerve damage, as well as reducing the risk of complications or death from liposuction procedures. Illouz published extensively on liposuction in French, beginning in 1977. This was his first major publication on the subject in English.
