Case reports: From injuries of the head.Transylvania. J. Med., 1, 9-40, 1823.Dudley was for many years the leading surgeon on the western frontier of the United States. This paper reports the first operations on the brain performed in the United States. Three of the five patients were relieved of their symptoms.
