Ueber Aphasie.Dtsch. Arch. klin. Med., 36, 204-68, 1885.“Lichtheim’s disease”– subcortical sensory aphasia. Lichtheim noted that although the patient could not speak, he was able to indicate with his fingers the number of syllables in the word of which he was thinking (“Lichtheim’s sign”).
