In Japanese: [Acute febrile mucocutaneous syndrome with lymphoid involvement with specific desquamation of the fingers and toes in children.]Averugi [Japanese Journal of Allergy] 16, 178-222, 1967.Kawasaki first reported this disease in 1961 in a four-year-old child with a rash and fever at the Red Cross Hospital in Tokyo; by the time he wrote this paper he had seen 50 cases.
